K9 Essentials

All Cedar Valley K9 training is based on the principals of learning and development through positive reinforcement and effective communication.

Our essentials courses are for dogs 6 months and older who are still learning the basics of obedience or need a refresher.  There are two levels of essentials.  Level One is our starter course.  Level Two builds on the foundations in Level One and introduces more advanced commands and human-K9 communication.

Both courses include 6 one hour training sessions and are conducted at the Cedar Valley K9 centre.  The maximum number of students for courses is limited to 6, so we can provide individual attention to each and ensure training goals are met.

"Gail’s approach to training has provided me with insight into Cheeto’s motivations. He still does things on Cheeto time but is more attentive and responsive to commands. The information that Gail provides on behaviours allows for individual training needs while still in a group setting. Adding a “play time” into each session makes it more fun than just working on commands for both of us." - Rose D. Mission, BC
